Description
A new Weymouth Rod Works signature model 765 serial #2306. This 2-pc, 2-tip rod is 7’ 6″, and built for 5wt line. The finished rod weighs 4.25 ounces. Built in a hex configuration, the model 765 is a seven-foot six-inch rod designed with a fast, progressive action that commands a #5wt line with a fluid authority. This rod model is a lot of rod packed into a short body; the 765 excels at accurate short flicks as well as laying out a lot of line when needed.
The cane is a Golden honey tone finished with spar varnish and wrapped with claret silk tipped with cream silks. The ring style hook keeper is wrapped in claret finished with a band of cream completed with the signature wrap sporting 5 bands of claret cumulating in the model name and maker.
The cigar style rattan grip is accented with candy red thread and is 6 1/4” long. The nickel silver down locking cap and ring reel seat is coupled with an exotic snakewood seat spacer balancing nicely with black hardware and claret wraps. Adorned with a 18% NS candy red & white agate stripper guide. The rod is finished in oxidized hardware and step-down ferrules giving the rod a sleek overall appearance. This rod delivers a very distinctive look on the stream.
The rod packs into a WRW distinctive WRW embroidered twill rod bag. Add a deluxe quality aluminum tube for an additional $100.
