Description
An iconic Paul Young taper, the Para 15 is an 8’ 0’ 2pc with 2 tips. Comes with one dry fly tip and a heavier wet fly tip. The finished rod weighs 4.6 ounces and fishes well with a 6wt line. Serial #113. Built in a hex configuration, the Para 15 is a solid built design with medium full-flexing parabolic action and is capable of shooting an abundance of line if desired. With its’ parabolic butt this rod is a great roll caster. This rod has been lightly fished and is in excellent condition.
The cane is a Light coffee tone finished with spar varnish and wrapped with gossamer Chestnut silk tipped with gossamer Dark Brown silks. The ring style hook keeper is wrapped in chestnut tipped in dark brown cumulating in the model name and maker.
The Garrison style cork grip is 6 1/4” long. The nickel silver down locking cap and ring reel seat is coupled with a mortised, spalted maple, seat spacer balancing nicely with bright hardware and Chestnut wraps. Adorned with a 18% NS Stripper with a Cream agate insert stripper guide. The rod is finished in bright hardware and 13/64ths super Z style ferrules giving the rod a sleek overall appearance. This rod delivers a very classic look on the stream.
The rod packs into a WRW distinctive WRW embroidered twill rod bag. Add a deluxe quality brass capped anodized aluminum tube for an additional $200.
